The Best Children's Clothing Labels: Good For Stuff, Bad For People.

I got this letter in my imagination.

Dear Melissa Summers,

I have amazing news for you. You have won a summer worth of sleep away camp for both your children, all free of charge because this is your imagination. Now, how will you label their belongings so they come home with what they take with them?

You can imagine how excited I was to get this letter in my imagination. I could use some good news right about now, and imaginary news works in a pinch. So let's look at some label options for all the things your kids may take from your house to sleep away camp, day camp or if you're one of those people, the lucky ones with year round school, for school.

mabel.jpgI hear nothing but raves about the high quality and durable labels from Mabel's Labels. Their clothing labels come in different forms like stick on or iron on. Use them to track your child's clothes, bags, shoes, toothbrushes and even their underwear. Because there's something entirely unpleasant about grabbing someone else's underwear accidentally. circle.jpgStuck On You is another company looking to help your child keep their stuff. I like the iron on transfer labels, they work like regular iron-on transfer paper and leave your kids clothes permanently imprinted with their name without an "itchy" tag left behind. They also offer iron or sew-on rectangular or circle labels. The only thing they don't offer is a way for me to link to individual pages on their site.

labelsforkids.jpgLabels For Kids is another site from the UK meant to help you keep your kid's stuff in the right hands. They offer similar products like vinyl stick on tags and iron on fabric labels along with bag tags. Labels For Kids lets you customize your tags with an icon and different fonts.

Doing this research has brought out my inner neat freak and I'm having a hard time not buying the all the household labels. I mean, maybe while my kids are at Imaginary Free Camp, I can fill my days with organizing and labeling. In my imagination.

the Mabel's Labels are great. The only issue I had was the shoe labels wore out quicker then expected.
