Did you know in real estate, February is considered the start of the spring market. Where I'm from this is comical since we won't see the sun or anything green for another three months, two if we're lucky. Still it seems like a good time to revisit the topic of baby showers as all those spring babies get ready for arrival. I shared some inspiration for you last year as well and you should read it for even more ideas.
This time I've scoured the web, especially Flickr, and found quite a few great ideas for your baby shower.

Last year I pointed you to Hostess With The Mostess for her baby shower ideas. She recently threw another adorable baby shower for friends and has lots of inspiring pictures to share. I love the whimsical butterflies hanging in the trees and the simple-to-recreate box centerpieces, the binkies are a wonderful take away for the new mom.

Martha has some new baby showers to share. I especially like the Kid-Friendly shower featuring monkeys and the Baby Shower By Mail idea for those expecting friends you can't be with.
On Flickr I found all sorts of deliciously inspiring pictures.

The felt mouse has a photo collection of favors she's created for different parties. I love them, not because I think favors are imperative for a party, but because I think the colors and patterns of a favor item can determine an overall look for your party.

These tiny baby bootie treat holders are so cute and easy to make (see the comments for the how-to). If your mom-to-be is having a c-section, maybe they're just surgical booties, either way, sweet.

My friend Maggie Mason took lovely pictures of a friend's cute tea party shower. My favorite detail is the clothesline with tiny clothes and vintage alphabet cards strung along the wall. (Also my daughter had that dress as a baby, it makes me wistful.)

Another inspiring decorating detail I found at Flickr is from somah's photostream. I love the parasol canopy from this outdoor couple's shower. When the party's over they'd make a great decoration in a little girl's room.

The last great baby shower idea I found at Flickr is this adorable invitation made to look like a Little Golden Book. It was made for a book shower where all the guests bring their favorite childhood book as a gift for the new baby. The Poky Little Puppy happens to be my very favorite story from childhood so it has a special place in my heart.
I don't get to throw any baby showers since all my closest friends are absolutely done having kids. On Thursday I'll be sharing five great handmade baby shower gifts to give because I'm assuming I've got at least a few more of those to attend in my future.
