In my house, knowing what tween girls from across the nation are doing makes life so much easier for my daughter because all things equal, she’s normal… although it doesn’t always seem that way when you’re the mom. So I thought I’d share a few tween factoids with you… for your own use or better yet, to share with your daughter. Does she believe in horoscopes? Does she want to change her looks? Would she rather be a pig rancher (does she even know what a pig rancher does?) or a rock star? Have fun!
We have a ton more! Just ask me... email or comment back please. I'm reachable at denise@allykatzz.com.

Mom: "What happened in school today?" Daughter: "Nothing." Mom: "Really, nothing happened?" Daughter: "Yep, nothing."
End of Conversation. Daughter goes straight to her bedroom… her fingers are flying… Texting, IMing. Now she’s “talking.”
Girl Confidential is your ultimate guide to what tween girls ages 10-15 are REALLY saying, thinking, doing and dreaming - straight from their AllyKatzz.com blogs (with permission). SECRETS, boys, fashion, celebrities, school, parents, siblings, mean girls, best friends, eating disorders, books, movies, sex, stress, music and everything tween. I'll unwrap it all for you… tips on how to speak her language and find out what “nothing” really means.
As the founder of AllyKatzz.com, the safe social networking site for tween girls, Denise Restauri is directly tapped into the tween girl world every day. The girls have asked her to help moms understand what’s really going on in their worlds. They love questions… just ask her denise@allykatzz.com.

This is GREAT - my daughter is just going into her tween years and I'm so happy to read that a tween expert is blogging on alphamom.
