There's an avalanche of life-list books:
"1,001 Books You Must Read Before You Die"
"1,000 Places to See Before You Die"
These lists are for adults. What about tween girls?
Question to girl: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Girl translation: “What will I do after college to make money?”
But what about their other dreams? And what can we do to help them dream more and bigger?
We asked the girls to tell us:
What do you want to do in your life? Things you can do now and things you can do when you're older. Dreams, Wishes, Careers. Anything.
We received over 1,700 responses… many are predictable: actors, rock stars, fashion designers, vets and meet their favorite celebrities.
AND ...
Moms and Daughters Dreaming Together.
You and your daughter create your own life lists. Then SHARE your dreams and help each other keep them ALIVE. Root for each other. This is a great way to talk about aspirations.... Girls love to hear about their moms' goals.... Dreams that came true and dreams that can still come true. Push each other to reach for the stars. Many of the AllyKattz girls say they are doing “back to school resolutions” because September is when they start a new life versus January 1. This is a great way to kick it off.
