Gallop! a Scanimation Delight
First, I came across this book in San Fran this week on a business trip. When four adults huddle around the book and ooh and ahh, you know you've got to take a closer look. Then, upon returning from my trip I discover that my mother-in-law had sent a copy to my 5-year old son and he thinks it's the bee's knees.
I love innovation and this book takes the ubiquitous picture book to the next level using "scanimation" technology to make art literally move. It's simply awesome to watch horses gallop and butterflies flutter across the pages, for example.
Gallop!: A Scanimation Picture Book ($12.95 list) is a perfect addition to any library or coffee table.
