Check these out. I visit my sister's children's boutique, Ola Baby, at least once a month. It's based in Brooklyn in the neighborhood where we grew up and the majority of my family still lives. She has a great eye and is constantly scouring the trade shows and such for merchandise to sell.
I walked in the other day and, as always, my eye went straight for the new stuff. Love these, I told her and she said so does everybody else. They are manufactured in Brazil and thus for some reason, for which I cannot pinpoint, look to me like they belong on the soccer field. It's a hybrid of sock meets water shoe.

You can purchase these and others online at Baby Marketplace or just give my sister the business. Smile.

Oh, man, if only they'd had those booties when Bella was that little! How large do they come?

This came from the Baby Marketplace website:
Bical Grippers Size Chart
To ensure this shoe fits your baby properly please measure your child's foot (draw around it on a piece of paper and measure). Use the chart below to choose the shoe size that will fit your child best. Example if your child's foot measures 4.75" then a size 4 / size 5 would be the best fit.
Size 2 - Insole measures 4.0"
Size 3 - Insole Measures 4.5"
Size 4 / Size 5 - Insole Measures 5.0"
Size 6 / Size 7 - Insole measures 5.5"
Size 8 - Insole measures 6.0"
Size 9 / Size 10 - Insole measures 6.5"
Size 11 - Insole measures 7.0"

I bought a pair from Kim of Babymarketplace fame and we love love love them. They fit a little on the wee side, at least for Charlotte. Kim actually lives about 30 minutes from me! Small small bloggy world. I wish I had a pair to wear in the sand at the playground so my feet didn't get an unwanted harsh pumice in my sandals.

Ah. So interesting that's your sister's store! I no longer live in the neighborhood but it was/is a great addition.

I would love to see my grand daughters in these around the house. How do they work on the streets?

It's Kim from thebabymarketplace.com here! Thank you for the link! Great shoes ~ we love love love them! They only make them to toddler size 11, which is odd ... my son was sad when he out grew them (he actually continued to skwish his feet into them for several months).
I'd wear the skully ones too!
Good luck to your sister with her biz, I am too chicken to try a 'REAL' store!

Am I the only one who hates these shoes? I bought my daughter two pairs because I loved them so much, but they won't stay on her feet for anything. We went for a walk in them yesterday, and unfortunately, she had to ride in the stroller the whole time, because her shoes wouldn't stay on!

Hi, I carry these in my store too. PinkKoiFish.com
My daughter loves them. She wore them around and in the pool last summer. She even wore them to daycare many days. They are so comfy. To Nik: if your daughter couldn't keep them on them you may want to try a smaller size or try them on again when her feet get a little bigger. I found that a slightly snug fit stays on best. And since they stretch they are still comfy.

I want to buy a pair for my nephew who is an average sized 12 month old. Does anyone know what size I should buy? Or am I out of luck if I cannot measure his foot? Thank you.
