My favorite part of the Emmys

The highlights of the Emmys last night: Elaine Stritch's confidently clumsy performance as an announcer and this commercial.

I first heard the ChaCha song this summer while at an amusement park. The young children were doing the choreographed dance with aplomb, much like my teenage self did the Electric Slide and the Gen Yers did the Macarena in the mid 90s.

My nephew and a group of friends performed the cha-cha slide at his elementary school's talent show last year. ADORABLE. But my best experience with it was 3 or 4 years ago, at a hotel in Memphis, when there was a wedding going on in the lobby, and I watched from outside my upstairs room as approximately 300 people performed a PERFECTLY choreographed cha-cha slide. Awesome.
