Get This Actual, Real-World Look: Asian Eyes, Take Two

Today's eye makeup demo is courtesy of the absolutely adorable Umi, who will be showing off her tricks for Asian eyes, but honestly, I'm thinking this look would rock on anyone with dark eyes. I'm actually wondering if my brown eyes are dark enough to pull this off. Especially since I have ALWAYS wondered how to wear green eye shadow without looking like there's mold growing on my eyelids, because I am a gigantic chicken. Check it out, babies.
First off, let me add a disclaimer that this look would suit Asian eyes, since the dark color and lashes offsets any splash of color. Darker eyes tend to allow for more dramatic look without quite looking like an alien. That being said, I tread the line lightly... it's all about blending and using subtle shades that suit you. Universally, I think it's where you put the color and tricks like a little light shimmer in the inner corners of your eyes widen and pop any look.
I personally kinda like clownish over-the-top color. Hah.
This is my "I am not going into work, Yay" look (which amounts for the slight crazy in them).
This is basically all I used. Clockwise from the testicle crusher resembling thing: Maybelline (old old plastic) eyelash curler, Givenchy Eye Fly in Fly in Blue, Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Luminous Shadow in Plum Passion and Money, Baby, old Cover Girl pink shimmery shadow with the sticker ripped off (anything light works), and Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in Blue-Grey.
No Makeup! Clean eyes. (You know, after you prime and apply a little foundation or what-not)
So, I line my eyes with the Clinique Quickliner. I love this stuff because it is a nice width and very soft. It takes minimal effort to draw the right line. I also like using dark blue liner and mascara, because a little extra color make the eyes pop. When you put these things on dark eyes and lashes, you really don't notice the color, except that it makes everything a little brighter.
So, I dust a little bit of the Passion Plum directly on my lids below the crease. Honestly, it is all about the blending. That dictates how dramatic everything will be. I blend down and to the side, extending the color a little past the edge of my eye.
Then, I put the green directly on the crease, extending the color slightly above. (It goes without saying, don't put dramatic color up to the brow bone. Just don't.) Blend as much as you like to the side.
Next, the I line the inner lower lashline and inner eye with the light shimmery shade, then blend.
This is how everything looks together, blended. (This is a bit more colorful than I would normally wear - However, this helps for this instruction. Also, the camera couldn't really pick up lighter colors)
Curl and put mascara on. Lashes!
Tada! Not too scarish, is it?
Maybe?

These eye tips are awesome. I love the green on you, Umi! I've always tended toward neutral greens, which aren't great with my green eyes. I think something different might pop better.
This morning, I thought about the "Eye Series" while I did my plum and purple shades. Believe it or not, they look good with bright cherry lips!
